In August we held an 'Open Day' at the Library where Society members and others had an opportunity to view them.

Following discussions with the owner the remaining documents that he held have been obtained by the Society at a greatly reduced price, plus a couple that he has donated free of charge. They cover the period from 1724-1853.

The cost of these documents has been met by two donations made to the Society. These seven documents will be copied and join the others at the Society Library. There is an indexing project being carried out and copies of the Deeds/Indentures are available at the Library for any one to see/use in their research. The originals can be viewed by arrangement with the Society Librarian.
