Dartford Talk: Using Funeral Directors' & Burial Records for Research with Brian Parsons

Brian Parsons has worked in the funeral industry since 1982 with a particular interest in education. He is an accredited tutor and has lectured at Bath University.

He has written several books including his latest revised version of "London Cemeteries". 

Brian will demonstrate how best to use funeral and burial records for genealogical research.

These documents contain a wealth of information on the deceased, their families and the funeral customs of the era and area where they lived. The presentation will include some rarely seen images.

Doors open 9.45am. The meeting / talk will start at 10.30am and end by 12.30pm. 

The Talk venue has a large, free car park but it is shared with other users and can be busy at times.

No booking, just turn up.

The Society is a registered charity and membership fees and donations are an important part of our income. The Talk is free to members but guests and visitors are asked to make a donation towards hall hire and speaker's fee. There will be a donations box at the venue.
