Dartford Talk: Some Lost Houses of Crayford by Janet Hearn-Gillham

Who better to reveal the lost houses of Crayford ?  Situated on the old Watling Street and not far from London, Crayford was a very pleasant location for country houses to be built, nearly all evidence of which has gone.

Janet has been a keen local historian for over forty years, particularly focusing on Crayford.  Together with her husband David Gillham, she has been involved with several Heritage Lottery Fund projects. Currently she is Chairman of Crayford Manor House Historical Society.

Doors open 9.45am. The meeting / talk will start at 10.30am and end by 12.30pm.

The Talk venue has a large, free car park but it is shared with other users and can be busy at times.

No booking, just turn up.

The Society is a registered charity and membership fees and donations are an important part of our income. The Talk is free to members but guests and visitors are asked to make a donation towards hall hire and speaker's fee. There will be a donations box at the venue.

But Society membership only costs £10 a year (£12 joint members) https://www.nwkfhs.org.uk/about/membership/our-membership
