Sevenoaks Branch Talk: The Fabulous 50s. Do You Remember? with Delia Taylor
A fun look back at the decade of the 1950s.
We take a look at how we lived during this period in the UK, including the fashions, wireless, television, films and of course the music - the birth of Rock & Roll, which gave us stars such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Bill Haley.
About the speaker:
Delia is very well known to us. She has been an experienced speaker for over 15 years and has spoken to a wide range of organisations. All her talks are PowerPoint presentations with video, music and up to 65 slides. They are very well researched.
Doors open 10.45am, meeting starts 11am.
There is a large public car park (payment required, 50p for 2 hours, £1 for 3 hours) adjacent to the hall but it can be busy.
No booking, just turn up.
The Society is a registered charity and membership fees and donations are an important part of our income. The Talk is free to members but guests and visitors are asked to make a donation towards hall hire and speaker's fee. There will be a donations box at the venue.
But Society membership only costs £10 a year (£12 joint members) https://www.nwkfhs.org.uk/about/membership/our-membership
