14th September at 7.00 pm the Society presents the zoom talk by Jackie Depelle a family history tutor and speaker.
The talk explains the value of using wills, perhaps the most useful resource after certificates & censuses. It is a personal insight into relationships & possessions. Find indexes & associated records.

Jackie says it began with a family house, researching its occupants, an interest in Local History and joining a Family History Society. Then thanks to an unexpected career change twenty years agogave her the opportunity to design and create Family History activities.
Starting teaching in the days of libraries full of film and fiche, before migrating into computers then the internet and now fully committed to online delivery.
A regular speaker at major events such as WDYTYA-Live and RootsTech Connect, Jackie has also run dedicated workshops for Archives, Country Houses, Libraries, Museums and Universities.
Still promoting local groups through the Yorkshire Group of Family History Societies, a member of the Historians Collaborate Group, the Guild of One Name Studies, and a number of other family history Societies
