Library Workshop: Reading Court Hand for Probate Records with Mari Alderman
Reading Court Hand for Probate Records. A members-only event, led by Mari Alderman
Have you ever struggled to read a will and grant of probate written in court hand typically found in the records of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury (PCC)? If so, this workshop should help.
Come and learn the basic letter shapes and the typical phrases used. Bring your own documents for individual help.
Numbers are restricted to enable all participants to ask questions, share knowledge and engage with other members.
Please reserve a place with workshop.booking@nwkfhs.org.uk including the event, title and date together with your name and membership number. Workshop leaders freely give their time, but a donation towards the Society's contribution to the library running costs is appreciated. A donation box will be available on the day.
