Lullingstone's 20th Century Secrets with Nick Fothergill

The meeting will start with the branch annual meeting.
This morning our speaker is Nick Fothergill and he will reveal how the plans to build a large housing estate and another London Airport in the Lullingstone and Farningham area in the 1930s arose and how the airport very nearly came to fruition.
He will also describe the building of a dummy airfield during the war to deflect enemy aircraft from Biggin Hill.
No booking, just turn up.
The Society is a registered charity and membership fees and donations are an important part of our income. The Talk is free to members but guests and visitors are asked to make a donation towards hall hire and speaker's fee. There will be a donations box at the venue.
There is a large public car park (50p for 2 hours, £1 for 3 hours) adjacent to the hall but it can be busy.
