1851 Census Indexes updated on our web site.

We have now added or updated the Introductions, Streets Index and Name indexes to the 1851 Census page resources. Bromley does not have a Street Index but the others Dartford, Deptford, Greenwich and Lewisham do. 

The introductions should be compulsory reading for family historians interested in these local census areas.

These indexes were published by the Society in paper booklet form then on CD and are now available online.

Where we have had to go back to basics it's been done using ACCESS database which is why the pages look different to those that were originally published.

We are in the process of check the remaining four 1851 Census indexes for North Aylesford, Malling, Sevenoaks and Woolwich. Once done we will download them as well.
